Nice of the offense to finally show up.
Plus a look at the future: Hughes (who should have started) and Joba, bug-free.
Still a mountain to climb.

I watch the Yankees try to win without Cliff Lee. And I watch the 2011 Astros so you don't have to.

I can't believe the Indians are wasting a game by starting Byrd. It's like they've already boarded the bus to the airport in preperation for game five. That's putting a lot of faith in C.C. and fausto Carmona. I assume he'll be ready as backup. I'll take C.C. on short rest over Byrd any day.
And you have got to stop with the bugs. It was an act of God. Face it, God hates the Yankees.
It went both ways. Try hitting with bugs swirling around your face.
Hundreds of millions of dollars spent and you blame a game on bugs, too funny!
Nobody hit with bugs. It was walks hit by pitch and a passed ball! DUH!!
I guess that's why I saw Hafner fanning bugs away from his face at the plate.
Seriously, we're down to "Duh!" now. C'mon.
And let's not forget Fausto Carmona pitching with critters swirling around his melon.
Acts of God are not an excuse(they're funny), especially when it was so biblical. I expected Moses to come out and lead his people out of Egypt, or turn a bat into a serpent.
Gotta love baseball. Bad calls, bugs or bad fans, if it can happen, it will.
You spend a lot of time on a Yankee blog.
Please tell me there's a Padre board somewhere. You guys can all talk about how fat Tony Gwwyn is and how Kalili Green needs to cut his hair. Or whatever Padre fans talk about. Or do they talk about Yankee basebal also?
Stop losing sleep over the Yankees!!! I know it's not fair, life is not fair my friend!
Now head to an ASU football blog, I hear there's a good one out there. Remember The Sun Devils? Undefeated...the team that BEAT Stanford 41-3.
Now get lost!!!
See you Saturday, AND GET A LIFE!!!!
I would respond if you actually wrote something more intelligent than, "Your mother wears combat boots."
Along with 80% of America I sleep fine watching the Yanks lose. A recent ESPN poll asked which is America's most hated team, the Dallas Cowboys or N.Y. Yankees? The overwhelming response was the Yankees. It's been that way since the early 1900's. Heck, I wish my favorite team could be hated as much as yours, but the Padres budget just won't allow it.
Whether it's bugs, bad calls, moving strike zones, huge contracts or "handsy" fans, baseball is beautiful, period.
By the way, Matt Holiday still hasn't touched home plate.
