I watch the Yankees try to win without Cliff Lee. And I watch the 2011 Astros so you don't have to.

Not to sound like a Yankee whiner or an excuse machine...BUT....The injuries this season have been to really key players at really bad times.
I mean how many teams fighting for a playoff spot have lost their ACE (Wang) for the regular season before the All-Star break? Godzilla was such a key to that lineup.
And now a weekend series where we would have seen Joba pitch on Sunday he's on the DL.
Oh well, every team gets the injury bug it just seems like the Yankees caught it pretty bad this season.....
I agree with Robby-Boy, the injuries, especially to the starting rotation, have been bad. To Cashman's credit, he has filled the holes on offense with Xman and Pudge (maybe). However, the pitching is still on life support. I think Ian K. has a great future but he hasn't yet learned to pitch at this level. The NYPost crucified him as the pounding by the A's didn't seem to bother him.
Is Texasyank and the rest of "Trojan Land" breathing easier as it was "only" dislocated?
