What is it about this Yankee team and Sunday afternoons . . .
Or the Yankees and Camden Yards . . .
Four homers, all solo, not that it mattered. Jared Wright, wrigling out of jam after jam, using that low fastball the way he used to against the Yankees in the 90s.
Combined last starts from the "back end of the rotation," Wright and Lidle:
14 innings.
2 runs.

Yes, Jared Wright squirmed every inning except one. However, he was effective. Listened to the first half of the game on XM and the Baltimore radio guys were beside themselves as the Orioles continued to leave men on base. Watched the 2nd half on MLB and have to say that Jim Palmer (Oriole color guy) is one classy individual. Great insight and a pleasure to listen to. What a contrast with the Chisox (one for the bad guys) bunch.
Didn't know if you or Robbie-Boy would sign in first. Palmer was cool--in fact, he brought me back to the great ABC playoff/World Series trade-off when Al Michaels, Palmer and McCarver would work together.
Palmer did fit in some smoke-up-my-ass stats (Did you know he's the only HOF pitcher with X+ innings to never give up a grand slam? He'll tell you!) But give him credit: he's at least intellectualy honest on both sides.
