Yankees 8, White Sox 1

Two games down.

Third place, of course. But the Mariners (with one more run scored, in the aggregate, than runs scored against) are due for a slide.

Cleveland looms.

Oh, and: A-Rod, 0-for-21 since 499.

Pettitte: strong.

Posada: 2 dingers.

An above-average evening.

Hello?......(sound of crickets chirping)

Much to talk about.....Wildcard in sight...Hankie Matsui(as Ryan calls him!) now being a solid and strong folcrum in the lineup. The difference in my mind right now. Abreu obviously has been huge, but Hankie is giving A-rod much needed protection.

Rooting against the Tribe and Seattle is fun and well Hughes...little too early perhaps? I agree with those that said he needed two more AAA starts to build up endurance. Still has wicked stuff...he'll be fine.

Okay on to Canada...let's win another series....
