Yeah: He shot himself in the face and had no ID. The police were just being overly cautious.
If that's the case, then that explains it.
Jumping to the early conclusion of the VaTech massacre being linked terrorism was idiotic.
Please think before you write.
I was operating in an environment in which the ONLY explanation for concealing someone's identity in an incident of this nature was his/her status as a Muslim.
In Canada, Great Britain, and North Carolina, authorities have actually bragged about not using the term "Muslim" to describe Muslim terrorists.
This seemed a piece with all of that.
I said if there was another explanation, I wanted to hear it.
Well, now I've heard it.
It was never my conclusion.
Was it overreach? Probably.
