Yankees 8, Tribe 6

A-Rod heroics all over again.

Two walkoffs in a week.

A-Rod has the boss by the short ones now. His next contract could be just as big as his last... or bigger.

Who would have thought that all the pressure would now be on every Yankee not named Alex Rodriguez.

The Yankees are playing a fun, nail-biting brand of baseball. This weekend's series against the BoSox should be a blast.

If you remember, the Rangers have been subsidizing A-Rod's salary. They're paying $8 million of A-Rod's $25 million salary this year, and they're on the hook for a combined $17 million in 2008 and 2009.

The moment Rodriguez opts out, the Rangers are off the hook, which means if Cashman were to give him the same contract A-Rod walked away from (let alone giving him any kind of raise), it would cost the Yankees at least $17 million more than what they currently owe him.

That means one team will have to give him MORE than 81 million for three years, paid in FULL by that one team alone.

What you will see is the Yankees giving him an extention. That way the Rangers will still have to pay and A-Rod will be happy.

Now if you have followed the Yankees. Which I you you have, more than any other team!! This team has ALWAYS played loose and without pressure, except for A-Rod. It's been the PITCHING, that has been the reason for no Titles.

This will be a great series, talk about pressure. The Red Sox are at home...throwing their top pitchers 1-3 facing Pettitte and a couple of kids!! PRESSURE on the Sox baby!!

There is no pressure on the pinstripes this weekend! They are playing very loose. Plus, the Bosox lineup is not what it has been the last few years.

It's Friday, 5th inning, BoSox vs NY. A-Rod has gone deep twice.

He's holding all the cards.

After his ring wearing, record breaking season he could very well stick it to the Yanks.
