Biggio's night

Boy, did I pick the wrong night to stay home.

1. Bidge's 3,000th hit is part of a 5-for-5 evening, including an infield base hit with two outs in the bottom of the eleventh, setting the stage for . . .

2. . . . tyro centerfielder Hunter Pence getting the sweetest seeing-eye single you'd ever want . . .

3. . . . followed by a Lance Berkman getting hit by a pitch, leading to . . .

4. . . . a walk-off, grand slam homer by Carlos Lee, which sailed right to the left of our partial season ticket seats.

Astro-Girl isn't talking to me.

Funny story...Ryan and I were watching the Yankees/Baltimore game....rain delay in the 8th...Ryan turns to me and says...."what other games are on right now?"

We search our baseball package and find the Rockies/Astros game. Ryan liked the choice. You see, he likes a good sub-plot in any game. So he watched the Rockies last summer at Coors field while visiting his gradfather and he knows that Uncle Joe lives in Houston and goes to the games. Three minutes into our switch Biggo is up to bat sitting on 2999. what are the chances? Well he hits it, crowd goes wild, Ryan is now enjoying the festivities....he turns to me and says...."wow I bet Uncle Joe is lovin' this!".....I guess not......

Just be glad "Killer B" didn't hit number 3,000 in Montreal.
